My career in design began at the University of Texas in Austin where I took art, graphic design, and photography courses. I was fortunate to be able to put myself through school working as a local musician, then got my first job as a graphic designer at the Texas Union on campus. Eventually, I moved to New York City and began working for businesses such as The Wall Street Journal and Wells Fargo Bank. In New York, I set up a freelance graphic design and photography studio and took on assignments from various firms, notably in theater and the fashion industry, including Balenciaga, Helmut Lang, Calvin Klein and Liz Claiborne.
During the pandemic, I worked remotely—from the other side of the planet, actually—in Brussels, Belgium. My family moved there when the opportunity presented itself, and I continued to service my American clients via the internet. I’ve since returned to Texas. I do love to travel and see the world but it’s great to be back home in Austin. You might see me tooling around town on an orange Vespa scooter, or gorging myself on the fine Mexican cuisine that I was too-long denied in Europe!
I offer a mix of graphic design, photographic, copyediting, and multimedia services. Please contact me if you’d like to discuss a potential project. Thank you for stopping by.
